  1. Choose the right tile for your living hall floor

    Ceramic and Porcelain is the common and easily find tile with variety of design which you can see from most of tile distributor shop, tile manufacturer. There are practical and least expensive flooring option. Plus it is durable and easy to clean, making it a great choice for families with young children and pets.

    the main variation is that they are produced using a slightly different manufacturing process.

     

    • Both are made using natural clay.
    • Porcelain has finely ground sand added, so it is denser and less porous than ceramic
    • Porcelain is hardwearing and suited for areas of heavy traffic, such as hallways and kitchens.
    • Porcelain is also suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
    • Ceramic is softer and better suited to interior, low traffic areas.
  2. Floor tile fixing

    • Ceramic Tiles are to be fix dry. Do not soak in water.
      Mix weber range tile adhesive with water ; mix weber range latex admixture when fixing Porcelain tile as per the recommended mix ratio. Mechanical mixing recommended.
    • Spread adhesive to the substrate at bed thickness of 3 - 6 mm
      (may vary depending on tile size & thickness) with suitable
      notched trowel.
    • Spread no more than 1m² at a time to avoid Skin-Over. Open
      Time of spread adhesive is approx. 15 - 20 minutes.
       Promptly fix tiles onto adhesive bed, followed by slight twisting
      action to ensure good contact ie, Solid Bed Fixing.
    • Touch adhesive bed periodically to check for Skin-Over. Where
      adhesive bed is no longer tacky / sticky, Skin-Over had occurred.
      Re-Trowel adhesive bed.
    • Allocate joints of approx. 3 mm wide between tiles.
      Remove surplus adhesive from tile surface & joints before it
      hardens.
    • Allow to set for 24 hours; before grouting commences
  3. Color grout for tile fixing

    There is few element for choose a right type of color grout of living hall floor, that is including tile's size, tile joint width, glaze or normal tile surface, and thickness of the tile joint. weberfill fine grout is suitable for internal dry area, tile gap upto 3mm, due to the unsanded material, it will not scratch the tile surface. However, if there is tile gap above 3mm, you may apply weberfill f&w grout only when the tile surface is not glaze tile, the sanded property of weberfill f&w grout may scratch the glazed surface of the tile.
